Keep reading for what to do if you get your lash lift wet, how to prevent it from happening, and how to fix your lash lift if it’s already happened.
Getting your lashes wet can affect lash lift retention
It’s true, getting your lash lift wet before the 24-hour mark can indeed impact the retention of the treatment. The solutions used for your lash lift need time to bond and set onto your lashes, and water may interfere with the process by breaking down the solution. As a result, this might affect the curl and lift, causing them to look less defined or flatter than the intended look.

What do I do if I get my lash lift wet before 24 hours?
If you accidentally get your lash lift wet before 24 hours have passed, all is not lost. You can still take measures to protect and improve the longevity of your lash lift. The first thing you should do once you realize you got your lashes wet is gently dry them with a blow dryer on the cool setting.
In any cases, it’s best to avoid using any oils or moisturizers around your eyes or on your lashes. Oils will affect the hold and wear off your lift prematurely, and it’s best to steer clear of them for at least a day after the treatment.
