Uneven lash lift? Here’s what to do

If you've recently had a lash lift treatment and noticed that one side of your lashes is more curled than the other - don't panic! Though this can happen for a variety of reasons, there are things you can do while you wait for your next appointment with your lash technician.

First, there are a few reasons why this might happen. One possibility is that the technician who performed your lash lift may have applied the lifting solution unevenly, resulting in one side being more curled than the other. Another possibility is that your lashes may naturally grow in different directions, causing one side to curl more than the other.

Whatever the cause may be, there are steps you can take to address the issue. Here are some tips to help you achieve a more even lash lift:

Wait it out

It's possible that your lashes will even out on their own over time. As your natural lash cycle progresses, the lifted lashes will eventually fall out and new lashes will grow in their place. This can take anywhere from six to eight weeks, so be patient and give your lashes time to naturally adjust.

Use a lash curler

If you're feeling self-conscious about the unevenness of your lashes, you can use a lash curler to manually curl the less permed side. Make sure to use a gentle touch and avoid pulling or tugging on your lashes.

Apply mascara strategically

Another way to create the illusion of more even lashes is to strategically apply mascara. Focus on the less curly side and apply more coats of mascara to help them curl upwards. On the more curly side, you can use less mascara or even skip it altogether to avoid making the imbalance more obvious.

Schedule a touch-up appointment

If you're still unhappy with the results of your lash lift after several weeks, consider scheduling a touch-up appointment with your technician. They can assess the situation and make any necessary adjustments to create a more even lift.

Try a lash serum

If your lashes are naturally sparse or short, using a lash growth serum can help promote healthier, fuller lashes. This may help to speed up your lash growth cycle too, encouraging an uneven lash lift to grow out quicker.
